AI Recommendation Share. The percentage of tracked queries in which a business was named across the four AI platforms. A 48% ARS means the business appeared in responses to 48 of every 100 queries run. ARS is the primary ranking signal because it directly measures how often AI recommends a firm to buyers.

Accepted Answer

Composite Index Score. A weighted combination of four signals: recommendation frequency (50%), platform coverage (25%), position in results (15%), and citation context quality (10%). CIS rewards consistency of recommendation across platforms, not just raw volume. A firm with a high ARS but mentions on only one platform will score lower CIS than one with a moderate ARS across all four.

How are businesses excluded or filtered?

Queries are scoped to a specific city and industry. Responses are parsed for named psychologist firms. Businesses outside the defined geography, outside the industry, or that cannot be resolved to a real entity are excluded. The parser is conservative: if a name is ambiguous or could refer to multiple firms, we log it but exclude it from the rankings rather than risk wrong attribution.

Can a firm pay to appear higher in the rankings?

No. The AI See You Recommendation Index cannot be paid into. Rankings come only from actual AI responses to real prompts. No brand, advertiser, or paid placement affects the data. The index exists precisely because paid rankings are everywhere else. Princeton's 2024 GEO research concluded that citing credible sources and answer-first content matter more than any commercial signal for AI citation outcomes.
